**Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk**

**Responsibilities**:

- Efficiently process and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Verify and reconcile supplier statements to guarantee comprehensive accounting of all invoices.
- Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, BACS transfers, and direct debits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments promptly.
- Collaborate with the finance team to contribute to month-end closing activities related to the purchase ledger.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Provide necessary support to the finance team as required.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using accounting software.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable about basic accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
