Technical Administrator

James Briggs Limited (part of the Tetrosyl Group), a leading manufacturer of consumer chemicals and aerosol products, require a Technical Administrator to be based at either Royton, Bury or Rochdale (as preferred)
38 hours per week Monday - Friday
**Departmental overview**
The primary function of the department is to ensure compliance with all relevant current and emerging chemical regulations. The department supports the Sales, Marketing, Artwork and R&D functions with respect to requests for information, artwork review, product registration and the provision of safety data sheets (SDS) and advises on all dangerous goods compliance related issues regarding road and sea transportation.
**Technical Administrator duties**
- Review product artwork checking against prepared documentation.
- Compile and submit product registrations using data from the existing database information.
- Distribute classification information for compliant product labelling.
- Support the Sales and Marketing Teams with requests for information, data forms, etc.
- Administration of the safety data sheet system
- Request, review, and update information from suppliers SDS
- Maintain a library of raw material SDS to assist with communication of chemical hazards
Ideally applicants should possess a GCSE/A Level in Chemistry, English, Maths.
Attention to detail is vital in this role.
A basic knowledge of product hazard labelling would be advantageous.
- 33 days holiday per year (inc. banks)
