We are looking for enthusiastic SLCA - Coordinator to join our Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established service with a commitment to quality improvement.

This post involves providing British Sign Language (BSL) communication guidance, support and role-modelling for Early Years deaf children and their families, where appropriate this might also include support in settings - schools and nurseries. There will also be a commitment to provide and promote Deaf awareness and a positive image of deafness to children, their families and other professionals.

This is a peripatetic posts covering 4 local authorities (Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath & NE Somerset). Travelling to and between different settings is required across this area.

You will be able to communicate effectively with a variety of professionals, parents and children.

You will be required to manage the current team of SLCAs and ideally have a good level of experience of working with deaf children.

This role is suitable for deaf adults with a high level of BSL skills.
