We are currently recruiting for a **HR Officer** to maintain and develop our home care services.

**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Management

**Core Duties & Responsibilities as HR Officer**:
An HR Assistant performs a wide range of human resources functions. Their duties include recruiting, hiring and training new and existing employees. HR Assistants also help plan programs and processes designed to improve employee welfare. They manage payroll, maintain vital employee records and ensure the smooth operation of the HR department. HR Assistants typical responsibilities include:

- Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
- Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves
- Processing payroll and assisting with the documentation of employee compensation and benefits
- Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars
- Entering employee data into computer database
- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations
- Writing and submitting reports on general HR activities
- Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications
- Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency
- Lead for setting up induction training and relevant trainings for employees
- Processing DBS and keeping DBS up to date and compliant
- Cover reception in the absence of reception admin
- Assisting in tasks when applicable

**We are looking for a HR Officer to join us who are**:

- 100% committed to helping improve the quality of life of vulnerable people
- Flexibility to cover on call to meet the needs of the business (essential)
- Knowledge of CQC standards and CQC Compliance (essential)
- Experience in HR minimum of 1 year or 2 years working within Human Resources department (preferred)
- Relevant degree
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (preferred)
- Basic skills requirement: including numeracy, literacy, and English-speaking abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of Dols/Mental Capacity Act/Safeguarding
- Preferably NVQ level 2 or similar qualifications
- Good written and oral communication skills including an ability to be sensitive to the needs of clients with mental health issues and an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people including Social Workers, practitioners, and other professionals.
- Good IT skills including proven experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday: 9am-5pm (Including. out of hours mobile on rotational basis)

- HR experience: 2 years (required)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (required)

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
