**Salary**: £40,000 + car allowance, bonus and benefits

**Summary**:
Our client is an innovative, progressive logistics and supply chain solutions business who provide additional warehouse space, pallet storage and operational services to a host of customers including leading Retail, E-commerce and FMCG businesses. The servicesthat they provide enable their clients to support and ramp up growth projects and increase capacity particularly during peak periods as well as at other key escalation points.

They are currently looking to further strengthen their Supplier Relationship team with the addition of a key appointment who will have accountability for the following:
Key Responsibilities:

- Working with potential suppliers of additional warehousing space capacity to continue to build a database of sites and availability.
- Negotiating favourable terms with suppliers, keeping costs under control and continually analysing and reporting on performance.
- Working in support of BDMs to marry up warehousing space solutions with customer demand.
- Present commercial business cases with internal stakeholders to sign off the addition of new suppliers.
- Visit supplier sites, carry out site audits and report back.
- Continually network with existing suppliers to understand where future supply is coming from.

Key Skills/Experience:

- Possess a minimum of 3 years experience of building supplier relationships preferably within a warehousing, logistics or supply chain context.
- Analyse and assess supplier performance and be comfortable negotiating with suppliers.
- An ability to analyse commercial solutions and build cost models.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics practices preferred.
- Strong communication skills allied to an ability to present to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Posses strong IT skills and be particularly comfortable with excel and database management.
