Role: Production Coordinator

**Salary**: £21,500 - £22,500

Location: Cardiff

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm (Friday - 8am - 2pm)

Permanent Position

I am working exclusively on behalf of my clients who operate within a range of industries and are providers to some of the largest engineering companies worldwide.

The main role of the Production Coordinator is to ensure that incoming and outgoing parts are accurately booked in and out and released to the customer in a timely manner and with the appropriate documentation.

**Responsibilities**:

- To book in customer orders onto our job processing system
- To liaise with customers over confirmation of order requirements and quality issues as required
- To plan and accurately record process layouts, quality plans and specification test for new product integration
- To ensure any customer order received for despatch has the job card documentation included
- To ensure that inspected parts, which are ready for despatch, correspond with job card documentation
- To ensure that any shortage of parts is recorded accurately on the delivery note, by obtaining the reason for this shortage
- To ensure orders for despatch via carrier are packed appropriately and the consignment note is completed accurately
- To assist with the preparation of documentation for export
- To ensure all relevant despatch documentation accompanies the completed order before despatch
- To liaise with the Customer Service Manager with any order despatch queries
- To ensure all paperwork generated from the booking out process is accurately completed and filed

**Requirements**:

- Strong IT skills
- Read, understand and successfully interpret customer orders
- Good interpersonal and communication skills - working with others to provide information they need to complete tasks and eliminate production delays
- Sound literacy and numerical skills
- Personal ownership and responsibility - being professional, punctual, consistent and reliable
