Facilities Management Support Officer

Summary
The role will ensure a safe and welcoming location for all users at Porton Science Park (PSP) and to support the Site Operations Manager achieve smooth operations. You will carry out Facilities Management support and site maintenance tasks with consistent high-quality with observance of safe health and safety practices.

This is a permanent, part-time (18 hours) position.
**About the role**
The role will also include a mix of office-based administration liaising with internal and external service providers (e.g. contractors and suppliers) as well as facilities management duties to support the site’s ongoing operations which extend to:
- assess, manage and review in-house and outsourced contractor services related to Facilities Management via the Helpdesk portal (Concerto)
- monitoring of core and centrally supplied, premises systems and services via business management systems (BMS)
- the project management of lab, office and meeting venue fit out alterations
- fixtures and fabric repair as they arise
**About you**
You will need to have clear communications skills, both verbal and written, have an ability to work on your own initiative with mínimal supervision and has the ability to be both proactive and reactive to handle the diversity of the role. Some experience of general DIY maintenance would be useful.
