Do you have experience operating/supporting ethical review processes with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to others? Do you have excellent attention to detail and can efficiently manage your own workload to work to tight timescales?

If the answer is yes, then the role of **Research Ethics Officer **could be ideal.

**As a Research Ethics Officer, your duties will include**:

- Supporting the ongoing development of research ethics processes, for example, the introduction and implementation of new operating procedures, policies and systems, and participating in training activities
- Liaising with the Research and Innovation Support local delivery teams and other relevant staff in facilitating the internal ethical review process for proposals being submitted to external funding agencies
- Help design and deliver training in university ethics and governance procedures and provide induction for new members of the ethics committees
- Educated to A Level or equivalent
- A thorough appreciation of ethical issues in relation to research and the requirements of a process to review these issues
- Experience in operating or supporting an ethical review process in higher education or a similar professional environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
