About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Kent. As a Research Associate, you will be involved in designing and executing research projects, conducting individual and collaborative research, and gathering and analysing data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the designing and execution of research projects ensuring alignment with institutional and departmental goals.
  • Conduct individual and collaborative research, gathering and analysing data to derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Organise, store and write up results and report regularly to the research group, partners and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • PhD in Microbiology/Genetics or related relevant discipline (or to be in the final stages of obtaining such a qualification).
  • Evidence of research excellence in Microbiology, including publications in internationally competitive journals and conference presentations.
  • Ability to carry out research independently.

What We Offer

  • A salary range of £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working options allowing a flexible blend of office and home working.
  • 43 days' leave per year (personal leave, bank holidays and additional days allocated for the Christmas period).
