**Accounts Assistant Chester - up to £28,000 depending on experience**

**THE ROLE**

The new Accounts Assistant will support the Company Accountant, maintaining accurate books and records in the company ERP system. Main duties include:

- Oversee, manage and control the flow of AP transactions through the finance outsource team for processing using the systems and tools in place
- Dealing with local supplier queries
- Cost and Expense analysis review and reporting
- Prepare reporting to support invoicing for key customers
- Prepare staff expense claims for processing by the outsource team
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
- Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis
- Support in the preparation of Instrastat and VAT returns
- Calculate and report monthly customer rebate bookings
- Calculate and submit monthly warranty claim
- Support Credit Controller to meet company targets

**ABOUT YOU**
- Advanced knowledge and experience of PowerPopint, Excel and Power BI are essential
- Experience and knowledge of Salesforce would be advantageous
- High level attention to detail
- Commercial mindset
- Ability to work well and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of WSA Financial reporting desirable
- Able to manage workloads, priorities and deadlines with flexibility
- Customer focussed

**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**

This is a full-time role based in Chester. Some of the benefits include:

- Salary of £24,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
- Discretionary company bonus
- Excellent matching pension scheme
- 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid working available (after probationary period)
