**Assistant Director - Property and Facilities Management**
**600-650 Per Day**
**6 Month FTC**
**Job Purpose**
To lead the Council’s property teams including its Corporate Landlord function.
**Key corporate accountabilities**:
- to work with colleagues to achieve service plan objectives and targets
- to participate in employee performance appraisals and contribute to the identification of your own and team development needs
- to actively promote the council's Equal Opportunities Policy and observe the standard of conduct which prevents discrimination taking place
- to ensure full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 etc., the council's Health and Safety Policy and all locally agreed safe methods of work
- to fully understand and be aware of the commitment to Section 17 'Duty of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to prevent crime and disorder'
- at the discretion of the Senior Management, such other activities as may from time to time may be agreed consistent with the nature of the job described above
**Key service-related accountabilities**
- Provide strategic leadership of the Council’s land and property portfolio, including as lead officer for the Corporate Landlord function.
- To lead the preparation, review and delivery of the Council’s Property Strategy.
- Lead the Council’s asset management, investment and utilisation programmes.
- To work closely with departments across the Council and partners/tenants to ensure the timely review of leases and rents in order to maximise income.
- To represent the Corporate Landlord function on major projects.
- Lead the Council’s facilities management function.
- Deputise for the Corporate Director of Place Delivery as appropriate.
- Any other duties which could reasonably be expected of a post holder at this level.
