As Manpower Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the intermediate manpower & training plans for the TUI Airways & TUI Fly Nordic Cabin Crew community. Working in conjunction with Operational Leadership teams and Finance you will establish all assumptions needed to build an optimum Manpower plan across our Northern Region Airlines (NRA).

We are happy to offer this opportunity on a hybrid working model with approximately one day per week (once fully trained) being based onsite at our offices in Luton. The role has one direct report and reports into our Senior Manpower Planning Manager.

Please note this is not a Cabin Crew opportunity - rather this role is responsible for the Manpower Planning for our Cabin Crew community.

ABOUT THE JOB

You will be accountable for all outputs relating to Cabin Crew manpower planning & training activities across NRA. Developing the training resource plan to deliver the cabin crew training plan to budget, managing volume, changes and plans accordingly and ensuring the number of cabin crew in each qualification pool at multi-fleeted bases is in line with operational requirements
You’ll maintain the WePlan manpower databases across the Northern Region including changes to inputs ensuring any deviations to plan are clearly communicated to all stakeholders and ensuring the reporting suite is optimised and continually updated. This will involve the parallel run all re-forecast and budget scenarios in the Manpower Planning tool until testing is complete, and creating a plan to embed the Manpower Planning tool within the day to day running of establishment planning for Cabin Crew
Building, refining and optimising the seasonal manpower plans will be a key part of the role, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommendations to the relevant stakeholders and the Senior Manpower Planning Manager. You will act as a specialist for individual areas of expertise whilst also ensuring two-way knowledge transfer among Manpower Planning Team.
When fully embedded utilise the Manpower Planning tool to identify fact-based recommendations around risks and opportunities within the current and proposed plan and communicate these effectively to senior stakeholders as required
Fully utilise all systems available to support and optimise the production and analysis of the advanced manpower plan, including Carmen
Adopt responsibility for driving forward continuous improvement in the form of analysis and feedback through development of the Manpower Planning tool, taking into account feedback and analysis from the wider Northern Region airline including: The Manpower Planning team, Crew Planning, Flight Ops & Customer Services and more broadly across TUI UK&I with the Commercial and Finance teams
Working in conjunction with senior stakeholders, Group Airlines and third parties, you will develop the Manpower Planning tool, ensuring all assumptions work correctly and optimise total cost of delivery of the plan
You’ll represent the Manpower Planning team at internal meetings (Incl. Union Meetings) as required on an ad-hoc basis to lend expertise, provide and present data, and take actions for further analysis for NRA
ABOUT YOU

Educated to GCSE standard in Maths/English or business experience equivalent
Proven analytical skills; able to cope with complex and ambiguous variables and tasks
Strong numeracy skills, with solid financial understanding and commercial acumen
Excel user with system’s ability and solid MS Office capabilities Ability to interpret and understand regulatory policy such as EASA Regulations, Flight Time Limitations and Northern Region Industrial Agreements
Ability to effectively communicate complex data, influence senior stakeholders, and effectively lead change
Excellent problem-solving abilities
