**Sales Ledger Assistant.**

**Sales Ledger Duties**:
To administer the Sales Ledger, ensuring invoices are settled within relevant payment terms.

Maintain the circa 350 customer accounts on the sales ledger.

Liaise with Likewise Delivery Drivers taking receipt of cash and cheques

Preparing bank PIBs, Posting customers receipts onto the relevant Ledger

Carry out month-end sales ledger processes and produce month end sales reports.

Reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis, matching off payments received and chasing any outstanding payments to ensure all accounts are settled within our terms.

Resolving Internal and External customer queries for Invoices or Statements.

Other Ad hoc duties as required such as supporting the year end Audit work.

**The Purchase Ledger duties**:
Assist with administration of the Purchase ledger to cover at peak times or annual leave.

Checking supplier purchase invoices

Posting and allocating payments and invoices to the system

Prepare payment runs.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and work to tight deadlines.

An ability to process high volumes of invoices/credit notes accurately.

Good time management ability, with the ability to work to deadlines.

Strong IT skills
- to include Microsoft Excel and accounting/purchase ledger software.

A methodical approach, with good Communication skills.

Ability to work using own initiative and under supervision.

A desire to work as part of a team, building strong internal relationships.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.

Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

AAT qualification (desirable but not essential.)

**Starting salary of £27,000 DOE**
