Miryco Consultants are currently working with a leading Lloyd's insurance broker, who are looking for a high-achieving Senior Compliance Associate to provide efficient and effective support to the Compliance Manager and the wider Risk & Compliance team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Head of Advice and Guidance by giving timely advice and direction on all compliance-related issues and ensuring that records of all provided advice and direction are kept.
- Offer regular advice and direction on all matters of regulation, including the FCA Handbook, SYSC, ICOBS, and Lloyd's market standards.
- Communicate with the Business Support Unit whenever necessary regarding issues pertaining to Counterparty relationships and Compliance in general.
- Keep track of changes in trade licence requirements and international sanctions, analyse these changes, and determine how they will affect the activities of the Group's UK-regulated firms.
- Work with the Chief Risk Officer to determine the appropriate response to changes in the international sanctions and trade licence arena, and communicate the updated information and/or modified business practises to the relevant Business Divisions.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Compliance role within the insurance industry, ideally in a broking firm.
- CII qualifications - DipCii preferred.
- Demonstrable knowledge of sanctions scanning systems.
- Ability to evaluate and improve effectiveness of financial crime frameworks.
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s market, its principles, practices, and operational infrastructure.

**Location: **London (Hybrid working - 2 days WFH, 3 days in Office)
