Business Development Executive

Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our North East based client, on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a leading logistics group operating within the UK haulage and warehouse sector.
**What to expect from the role**:
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
- £24,000 to £26,000 per annum + commission
- A company vehicle, phone and IT equipment
**Your duties and responsibilities will include**:
- Identify new prospects & opportunities for business growth; building a strong new business pipeline of opportunity with face-to-face meetings regularly.
- Maintaining a sound understanding of all services, procedure and standards offered.
- Develop a comprehensive database of prospects on the CRM, and; achieving a round understanding of the competition.
- Preparing detailed presentations, reports and quotes;
- Meeting individual targets and annual group targets.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and other events as required.
**To be successful you will have**:
- Experience in a customer facing role with a sales-based target.
- A valid driving licence - essential.
- Experience in logistics - preferred but not essential
