We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated individual, with excellent communication skills, to work in Client Financial Services as an **Income & Assessment Officer.**

Liaising directly with clients and/or their representatives, the postholder is responsible for completing financial assessment and benefit entitlement checks for Adult Social Care clients in accordance with both national legislation and local government charging policies.  The postholder will be required to carry out assessments using Microsoft TEAMS appointments or via the telephone in the first instance., so applicants should be numerate, literate and attentive to detail.

Client Financial Services sits within Finance & Public Value Directorate, supporting Adult Social Care.  The service provides Financial Assessment, Income Collection, Debt Management and Strategy and Engagement functions to Devon County Council, providing benefit awareness support to clients and generating income from chargeable social care totalling £60+ million.

We offer 26 days annual leave per year (rising with length of service) plus Bank Holidays effective from 1 April 2023, flexible hours and hybrid working (a balance of home & office working in a friendly environment) and opportunities to develop career paths including training and development.
