**PURPOSE OF JOB**
- To contribute to the creation and realisation of the Academy Development Plan.
- To help to ensure that each individual in the Year Group makes the best possible academic and personal progress.
- To promote standards of excellence across the Academy.
- To promote the concept of teamwork.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS AND DUTIES**

**All responsibilities, tasks and duties to be carried out in line with Academy guidelines and policies.**
- Supporting SPM’s by investigating high priority behaviour incidents, meeting with students/parents as required. To include Restorative Justice Meetings and walk-through lessons. Bromcom updated and monitored.
- To be available and approachable to students with concerns, referring onwards to First Aid, SPMs or Form Tutors as required.
- Supporting the pastoral team by updating Bromcom and producing termly reports which analyse different types of behavior and show patterns.
- To take a lead in providing administration support related to any student suspensions. This will include but will not be limited to filing, typing and sending letters, reprographics work and data input.
- Assisting the Vice Principal Pastoral in organising paperwork for BOSS and Acorn placements.
- Assisting the Vice Principal Pastoral with the review, monitoring and implementation of pastoral policies.
- Assisting the Vice principal with whole school displays.
- Assisting the pastoral team with setting up for parent evenings.
- Sending information home via school comms.
- Monitoring the progress of identified students and devising appropriate intervention strategies for their academic and social success in support of SPM’s.
- To contribute to the strategic direction of the Academy through meetings with the Vice Principal Pastoral and SPM’s.
- Supporting termly interim analysis for Years 7-9 in conjunction with the SPM’s and contributing to action plans produced to further improve progress of individuals via mentoring. This will include meeting parents and providing regular feedback.
- As a member of the pastoral team, be part of the support for progressing and monitoring solutions agreed in daily meetings, which discuss the day sheet events.
- Setting up SLT weekly detentions on Bromcom.
- Supporting the student voice groups with the Vice Principal Pastoral including Academy Council, Anti-bullying & LGBTQ+ groups.
- Supporting charity work including non-uniform days and the Sleaford Larder donations.
- Providing administrative support, including filing, word processing, reprographics work and data input as required.
- Liaising with outside agencies as necessary.
- Liaising with parents as required.
- Liaising with colleagues in school to organise support for students when necessary.
- Attending Pastoral Team meetings.
- Attending Parents’ Evenings as required.
- Maintenance of Bromcom student database.

**GENERAL**

- To participate in appropriate meetings.
- To contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision.

- To uphold public trust in the education profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside school.
- To have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school, and maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality.
