A local authority based in Greater Manchester has created a new Children's Locality team and is giving you the opportunity to join as an Advanced Practitioner.

The role is primarily to supervise and support Newly Qualified Social Workers, you will be holding a small caseload, approximately 5 of your own and some that you will share with the NQSWs. The focus will be on Safeguarding and working with ASYE studentsas well as those on the Step up to Social Work programme.

This is predominantly a homebased post, where you will have the opportunity to manage your own diary and arrange visits to fit within timescales but even duty days can be done from home Duty is only 1 day every other week but if an emergency occurs, youwill need to be there so some social workers prefer to work duty days from the office. The local authority is flexible with working hours so if you work late and work Time Off in Lieu, you can take this back and have Friday afternoons off
