Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is currently undertaking a once in a career transformation of how health care will be delivered in South East Wales and we have an exciting opportunity for you to be a unique part of our new and dynamic staffing model at the forefront of patient care as an Assistant Practitioner - (Nursing).

This is a innovative role which will be a key part of the ward team providing essential support to Registered Nurses and delivering direct patient care through enhanced skills. You will also supervise HCSW’s at Band 2&3.

You will be a pivotal member of a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality care to patients in our ward settings. You will support the nurses by providing clinical nursing support and enhancing the quality of hands on care. You will work without direct supervision, with delegated responsibilities from the Registered Nurse which could include wound care, blood glucose monitoring, ECG recording, vital observations and NEWS, cannulation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
