Claims Assistant

The Marine claims and demurrage team is an integral part of the Greenergy Marine Operations department and is fundamental to the everyday running of a busy global energy business. The team manages vessel port call and demurrage expenditure for ports around the world, a proactive and attentive eye for detail is required in order ensure vessel claims are administered and settled on a timely basis. A role for a Marine Claims Assistant has been created due to continued growth in the business and the successful applicant will be a key part in the continued growth of the department. An ambitious, driven applicant is sought with considerable development opportunities available.
**Key responsibilities**
- The successful applicant will be an important function within a Global marine department operating across many countries with the following duties to perform;
- Managing the group mailbox to ensure timely receipt of claims and allocation of claims to analysts.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure timely production of sales invoices and chasing any unpaid receivables.
- Producing accurate excel/ database reports for management when required.
- Ensure weekly KPI reporting is completed on a timely basis.
- Representing the company at external events when required
- Promote and improve established processes / procedures.

- An interest in the energy/shipping industry
- Willingness to work in a demanding environment
- A reliable, pro-active team player strong organisation skills
- Willingness to travel as required
- Willingness to undertake training and learning programmes as required
- Proficient in problem solving with strong analytical skills and a good eye for detail
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience in a Marine/finance/legal administration or similar role
**Salary**: £18,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Plymouth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
