Digital IT Skills Trainer

**Role**

As a Digital Skills Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that individuals, regardless of their background or challenges, have access to and understand digital technologies. Your focus will be on delivering digital inclusion sessions, both online and in person, for diverse client groups ranging from older individuals unfamiliar with new technologies to younger people with gaps in education and training.
You will need a full UK Drivers license for this position as you will be required to travel to various locations for in-person sessions. You must also have access to your own vehicle and appropriate business insurance.
**Duties and responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and deliver digital literacy training sessions tailored to the specific needs of various client groups.
- Conduct both online webinars and in-person sessions (national travel might be needed)
- Ensure that content is accessible, engaging, and relevant to the audience.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and design training that complements their goals
- Initiate assessments to gauge learner progress and adapt sessions accordingly.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to internal teams and partners based on insights gathered from sessions.
- Stay updated with the latest digital technologies and tools.
- Incorporate feedback from sessions to continuously improve content and delivery methods.
- Identify potential partnerships and opportunities.
- Assess digital needs across sectors and recommend tailored solutions.
- Keep communities updated with the latest in digital literacy through regular newsletters.
**Skills and experience**
- Training or qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in delivering training, preferably in the area of digital literacy or technology.
- Familiarity with a range of digital tools and technologies.
- Experience in creating training materials and digital content.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to and address the unique needs of different client groups.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about digital inclusion and empowerment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Keen attention to detail and conscientious work ethic.
- Must have a full UK driving license.
- Must have access to own vehicle and appropriate business insurance.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations for in-person sessions.
- Willingness to undergo any background or security checks if required.
