We are seeking two highly motivated individuals with excellent leadership skills, and recent resuscitation experience at Band 7 level who have knowledge and understanding of educational frameworks and are highly skilled in the delivery of teaching across the inter professional agenda.

The Senior Resuscitation Officer role will provide leadership of the Resuscitation Team and lead on the design, development and delivery of the resuscitation training programmes. We are a progressive Team that is focused on providing a high quality, dynamic, inclusive, and responsive resuscitation service that supports the Trust, staff, and patients.

Bringing with you a background in Urgent, Emergency, Critical or Acute care, along with experience in Resuscitation training, your ability to deliver feedback constructively and communicate development needs will be vital in the planning and delivery of training at all levels. You will nurture and develop teams to work cohesively in highly pressured acute situations and will be required to attend as part of the cardiac arrest team when available, ensuring the highest standards of practice in relation to resuscitation.

With opportunities for ongoing professional and leadership development, you will help develop and implement policies and procedures, as well as lead audits and projects to influence improvements in all aspects of resuscitation and associated practice.

Provide specialist advice, training, and support to a wide range of staff, across a variety of specialties throughout the Trust, to enhance the quality of resuscitation practice and care delivered to our patients.
Act as a professional resource, offering clinical advice on all aspects of resuscitation to staff across multi-disciplinary teams.
Ensure implementation of evidence based clinical guidelines, procedures and policies relating to resuscitation and for regularly reviewing and updating these documents.
Support resuscitation, education, training, and supervision programmes for staff as appropriate to role
Line manage staff within the service as appropriate, and support and train staff of varying levels within the team to be competent practitioners.

- As part of the Senior Resuscitation Team, the post holder will manage resuscitation training and service developments in this area.
- Promote a visible service across the Trust, engaging with stakeholders.
- Through training, provide expert clinical intervention for patients who are at risk of deterioration.
- Provide senior advice and clinical consultancy to the multidisciplinary team in the area of Resuscitation practice.
- Work closely with other senior clinicians internally and externally to promote excellent practice and high-quality care across the Trust and with our wider BNSSG Partners.
- Be responsible for researching the effectiveness of resuscitation practice across the Trust.
- Support the implementation of training and development related to resuscitation practice.
- Act as an expert member of relevant Trust wide committees, providing specialist resuscitation advice.
- Provide effective leadership and management for the Resuscitation Service including Resuscitation Officer/Trainers and Admin Team.
- Promote the importance of resuscitation throughout the Trust through negotiation and representation at key stakeholder meetings.
- Deliver on all aspects of resuscitation care with day-to-day oversight for resuscitation officers and maintenance of internal governance for resuscitation events.
- To provide expert resuscitation practice development Trust wide and the implementation of practice development initiatives across all services.
- Be instrumental in the development of evidence-based resuscitation practice by measuring the outcome and effectiveness of the resuscitation initiatives and sharing these findings with the local and wider networks.
