An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Programme Administrator to join the River House Business Unit in the NHS Wales Executive.

This post is fixed term for 8 months due funding.

If you are a Public Health Wales employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

This role is to provide comprehensive, confidential, and senior administrative, staff management, clerical and business support as part of Wales Executive River House Business Unit. The post holder is required to communicate and liaise with directorates, divisions, and stakeholders, produce work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with Public Health Wales policies. This is a key supporting role that will contribute to the effective supervisory and running of the programme teams, contributing to the co-ordinating, delegating of work and agreeing work plans.

The NHS Wales Executive (The Executive) is a new, national support function, hosted by Public Health Wales, and directed Welsh Government.

The Executive is an essential element in making the health system in Wales fit for the future and achieving A Healthier Wales vision of a whole-system approach to providing excellent health and social care across Wales. Working on behalf of Welsh Government, The Executive’s role in supporting this mission is to provide strong national leadership and strategic direction, enable, support and, where necessary, intervene to ensure the delivery of national priorities and standards, to drive improvements in the quality and safety of care to achieve better, fairer healthcare outcomes for the people of Wales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
