We have a fantastic opportunity for Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to join our Scotch Category Governance team based in Glasgow.

- About the role
- As Health & Safety Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for supporting sites attain compliance to legislation, Diageo policies, standards and protocols, you will liaise with HSE and support site in dealing with site based regulatory issues. You will lead work streams to focus on driving continuous improvement & incident reduction as well as supporting the development and maintenance of the health and safety management system for site / business area.

Key areas you will be accountable for are:
- Attending site health & safety incidents as and when required-
- Support with H&S Accident & Incident investigations to ensure best practice is followed and that the completion of investigations is within measured time scales-
- Supervising and reporting compliance with H&S KPI’s-
- Coordinating actions arising from internal & external audits, incidents etc., GRMS, IA, GAR, ISO-
- Support sites with Risk Assessment/Work Instructions reviews and development of new documentation and conducts task-based risk assessments where appropriate-
- Delivers training on health & safety across site / site business area that supports delivery of the site / business area health & safety plan-
- Support delivery of health and safety improvement programmes that drive the site / site business areas health & safety strategy.-
- Support CAPEX submissions as a technical expert as required, Participate in HAZOP’s when required.-
- Audit and/or verification of LTO Level 1 H&S audits-
- Have a clear grasp of Diageo policies, Standards (GRMS) and Protocols relating to health & safety.-
- Analyse and trend OH&S statistics which will be used to focus priorities- Ultimately, being a source of advice, knowledge, and having the confidence to lead operations is the pinnacle of the day to day ways of working in this exciting role.

- We are looking for somebody who is passionate about what they do, but any experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment with hands on solid understanding of health and safety and process safety would stand you in great stead for this role.
- Things that will set you up for success are:
- NEBOSH Certificate qualification in Occupational Safety & Health working towards a NEBOSH Diploma-
- Tech SP Membership of Institute Occupational Safety & Health working towards Corporate membership of IOSH-
- Health & safety leadership experience and a track record in a food / drink manufacturing environment-
- Proven track record in managing health & safety incidents & activities-
- Auditor qualification-
