Stonegate Farmers Ltd is seeking a Hygiene Operative to join our Hygiene Division of our production facility based in Lacock, Wiltshire. As a Hygiene Operative, you will assist in the cleaning of all surfaces and machinary within our Packing Centre.

We deliver daily from hen houses right across the country to the most exclusive restaurants and to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets, together with first class egg products to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- To assist in the completion of all orders set out on the plan, through the correct set up of all equipment on line, Packing, Machine Operation and basic fault finding that could incur stoppages and hamper the success of the line.
- To ensure that food materials despatched are safe, legal and of the quality expected by the business and customer.
- Capable of leading a team effectively, by demonstrating the ability to cope well under pressure and with multiple demands. Supervise the day to day running of the team to ensure the KPI’s are met at all times.
- Attainment to plan; Production Levels & Demands, Quality, Labour Control, Waste Control, Utility Usage, Stock Control and other measurements of efficiency.
- Products made must be produced to the agreed quality specification whilst ensuring that all staff are trained to produce quality products within the company’s health and safety rules and guidelines.
- Ensure you use the correct PPE for the task at all times and the PPE used is in good condition.
- You must play your part in the health and safety policy. You must be safety conscious in every task you perform and lookout for the safety of others working around you.
- To comply with all hygiene and food safety procedures

**Person Specification**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Able to resolve routine problems using well defined procedures, identify and respond to trends.
- English language skills at a level that enables explanation of written and verbal instructions, procedures and requirements, thorough and accurate completion of documentation and auditable records./
- Self-motivated and a can do attitude is a must
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent attitude and work ethic

**Qualifications / Experience**:

- Previous experience managing a diverse workforce is essnetila for this role
- Hygiene knowledge and experience is essential for this role.
- Warehouse experience advantageous but not essential for this role
- High Care Food expereince is advantageous but not essential for this role

**Salary**: £11.80 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- hygiene: 1 year (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Chippenham (required)
