While our primary objective is to meet the learning and research needs of University members, we are also fully committed to widening access to our services to individual researchers, local schools, and others in the regional community.

The Teaching, Learning and Students team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the teaching and learning development activities of the Library. You will provide efficient administrative support for the Teaching, Learning and Students team programmes and services. You will also actively participate as a member of the Teaching, Learning and Students team, including involvement in projects, team meetings and communications.

You will need a clear enthusiasm for supporting students in their learning, and well developed organisational and administrative skills. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to relate with students, colleagues, and a wide variety of delivery partners in a polite, friendly and confident manner.

You will support the effective coordination of the teaching and learning services and Library skills programmes (e.g. My Learning Essentials, My Research Essentials, Specialist Library Support, Widening Participation etc) as well as providing enquiry support for students, researchers and staff. As a member of Teaching, Learning and Students you will actively work to align Teaching, Learning and Students services and expertise with the University’s Flexible and Blended Learning Initiative and the Library’s Imagine 2030 vision.

Other duties will include participation in the quality assurance processes of the team’s training materials and working with the Student Team in the delivery of services and support.

Hours & Place of Work:
This is 1.0 FTE post (35 hours per week)

Teaching, Learning and Students team are trialling the variable hybrid category. For most Teaching, Learning and Students staff, this will mean being predominantly campus based as required during peak service times throughout the academic year and 50/50 at other times of year. All Library employees are required to work at any Library site, as necessary.
