Our client, a specialist manufacturing organisation based in Prenton, Birkenhead has an additional requirement for an elite Van Delivery Driver to start work on Tuesday 13th of February.

The role will include delivering to destinations throughout the UK mainland and the successful applicant can expect to drive around 10 hours each day, making 8-12 drops and completing an average of 2,000 miles per week.

The position is offered on a temporary to permanent contract with the guarantee of permanent employment. Once permanent, additional benefits include an incremental pay rise, 25 days of paid holidays + additional paid bank holidays, payment rebate, full uniform and boots, pension and death in service scheme, annual attendance bonus and a company save as you earn scheme.

The working hours are strictly days, between Monday and Friday each week with the driver guaranteed a 40-hour minimum. Some early starts are required.

The hourly pay rate for the Van Driver is £10.97 per hour. However, but the standout feature of this job is the availability of overtime, which is also guaranteed and payable at £16.46 per hour after 40 hours and £21.94 p/h after 50 hours. Typically, each driver completes 50-60 hours per week.

Due to the nature of the items delivered, we are recruiting elite drivers that are both robust and physically fit. Excellent navigation and customer service skills are also essential.
