OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE POST To maintain all the administration in respect of the financial side of the partnership. To liaise on a regular basis with the Practice Manager to ensure the efficient financial running of the practice. Roles and Responsibilities To accurately maintain financial records in relation to the income and expenditure of the practice by keeping up to date the Income and Expenditure spreadsheet. To process all incoming cheques on a regular basis.

To calculate and produce an invoice for costs relating to photocopier/telephone charges for the District Nurses/Health Visitors. Pay staff pensions online and record on Xero; from information sent by the accountants. Ensuring this payment is paid no later than the 16th of every month to avoid penalty charges from HMRC. Arrange bulk payment of GP Partners' drawings, Interim or Equalisation payments (calculated by PM) on the online banking and record on Xero.

Collate all PB prescriptions and information on Xero 'Reporting' in order to complete and send PPA claims by the 5th day of each month. Ensuring drug prices are correct and up to date for each claim. Ensure general rates amounts for both Duffield and Little Eaton sites are transferred from a dedicated bank account to the current account each month. Transfer any amounts between bank accounts as agreed by the Partners and Practice Manager each month.

To ensure that the current account and transactions are checked daily or as is practically possible. Reconciling all card transactions and FPI payments. Chase any unpaid invoices on a monthly basis. Year end ensuring all records are up to date and collating the necessary information for the accountant.

Monthly manual entry of salaries on Xero. To process all petty cash transactions and provide a summary sheet on a weekly basis. Any other duties as appropriate to the post of Accounts Clerk to ensure the efficient running of the surgery.
