Applications are invited for the post of Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellow, to be based at the Clinical Research Facility, Fairfield General Hospital, Bury.
The position is suitable for speciality trainees in gastroenterology (ideally ST 6 or above) or post-CCT gastroenterologists who wish to pursue advanced sub-specialist training in IBD. It will be of interest to those who wish to gain advanced skills with clinical trials, observational and epidemiological studies and particularly for those who eventually wish to pursue a career in inflammatory bowel disease as a sub-speciality.
The successful Fellow may have the opportunity to undertake a research project towards an MPhil within the department of Gastroenterology, whilst supporting relevant studies in the Clinical Research Facilities across the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA).
**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will work under the direct supervision of Professor Jimmy K. Limdi and colleagues within the Gastroenterology research team.
This role will afford the post holder the opportunity to work with a range of internationally recognised key opinion leaders and Specialist Consultants across the NCA. The post will provide an interesting and exciting opportunity for an individual to fulfil the role of Sub-Investigator (and Principal Investigator where appropriate) and to expand their knowledge and experience of clinical research within an established clinical research infrastructure.
