We are seeking a **Head of Sales and Marketing** to join the growing People Services team. The role will head up the Commercial function within the division, inclusive of bidding, new sales, Business Development, Account management and Marketing.

**The Role**

The Head of Sales and Marketing will lead all commercial activity, with line management responsibility for multi-channel sales and marketing functions. Continuously striving for financial and market share growth, continuous improvement, and best practice,the post holder will be responsible for the execution of the growth strategy through customer retention and share of wallet improvements, as well as significant customer acquisition.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Relationships**: Management and maintenance of existing client and partnership relationships, build new relationships and generate new business. Support the Executive Director with improved strategic partnership pipeline, in collaborationwith the centralised Group Commercial Director.
- **Identification of Pipeline**:Drive new and existing client sales activities across the division, owning robust pipeline identification, development and execution.
- **Profit and Loss**: Full P&L responsibility. Maintain and build on current profit margins, ensuring sales and profitability meet and exceed budget forecasts.
- **Bid Management**: Development and submitting of compelling bid, tenders and proposals for a positive ratio of success.
- **Business Change and Growth**:Leadership of large-scale, multiple account management strategies to deliver effective solutions to current and new customers and partnerships in line with business plans & service level agreements.
- **Leadership**:Provide effective leadership, advice, and guidance to colleagues by creating an open, positive, and inclusive atmosphere.
- **Quality Assurance**: Service Level monitoring, reporting, and escalation, internal and external Audit, and accreditations.
- **Technology**: Ensure the Division's end to end processes are followed and oversee the operational roll out and project delivery of new technological initiatives.
- Strong sales, relationship building and business development experience
- Experience in B2B sales within People Services; such as Recruitment, Consultancy, Payroll or HR Services
- Ability to identify a pipeline of new business and deliver results
- Previous experience in gaining new business through bidding and tendering for new opportunities
- A proven successful leader - providing effective leadership, advice and guidance
- Ability to oversee profit and loss - sales and budget forecasting
- Previous experience in reporting and auditing on Service level agreements
