The Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support and Outreach Worker (Male Survivors) will be responsible for supporting men experiencing domestic violence and abuse and stalking by
- Delivering a time bound service for men who are survivors experiencing complex housing needs, including completing risk assessments, developing safety plans and supporting through the criminal justice system.
- Indentifying and building positive relationships within the Housing Sector including Housing Aid, Housing Services, Safe Accommodation Team at Juno Women’s Aid and Homelessness organisations.
- Providing specialist housing and homelessness prevention, advice, advocacy and support to male survivors experiencing additional barriers to accessing safer accommodation
- Working in partnership with external agencies, including the police, social care, JUNO Women’s Aid and others to ensure appropriate support is provided and the safety of the survivor is paramount.
- Working with survivors to access safer accommodation support via Housing Aid, Refuge Move On alongside making referrals into Sanctuary Scheme and other local initiatives
- Leading on consultation with the male community regarding knowledge and understanding of Domestic Abuse and understanding the complexities of housing needs of males experiencing domestic abuse.
- Leading on and implementing relationship building with key organisations to understand the resources and gaps in delivery of service for all housing needs experienced by male survivors.
- Providing reports and solutions for gaps in service delivery, housing issues, incorporating research and/or national key issues and/or resolutions.
- Understanding the specific needs of males and incorporating and promoting best practice in all work undertaken to wider stakeholders.
- Raising awareness about the Domestic Abuse Services for Men to include attending events, distributing resources, writing and delivering training/briefings

**Salary**: £23,210 - £25,894 per year pro rata for part time
