Job Introduction

In your role as a** Cook Manager **with us here at **Sodexo** in** insert location**, you will work within the catering teams at our esteemed schools, making sure that our vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and dining hall are operating efficiently. You will be the person your team looks to for guidance and support, you will have an impact on their day-to-day life and in turn, create a lively, productive work atmosphere. We are passionate about providing high-quality, nutritious, fresh, and sustainable food for our younger generation, we're fully committed to supporting a healthy diet.

**What you do**:

- Plan, prepare, cook, present, and serve food to company standards which may include breakfast, morning break, lunch, and hospitality to a high standard.
- Deliver the highest quality cooking on a strict deadline.
- To ensure weekly/monthly processes are completed within company timelines. This will include food ordering, stock checks, financial returns etc.,
- To ensure that daily/ weekly cleaning duties are completed and recorded by the on-site team. This includes all food preparation and storage areas, all catering communal areas.
- Completion of all mandatory training including updates as required by the company.
- You will ensure that all company compliance is adhered to (such as Food safety, Health and Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations). To include attendance management procedures, staff training and disciplinary process as appropriate.
- The recruitment and management of all staff within the catering department in accordance with the company processes.
- Deliver exceptionally high standards in customer service, cleanliness, tidiness, and other operational activity.
- **Travel as and when required to sites providing support.**

**What you bring**:

- Full UK Driving Licence required for this position and own vehicle required for this role.
- A minimum of 1 years of experience in hands on cooking, training on Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety will be given.
- A can-do attitude and zest to progress in your cooking career.
- Exposure to or experience with large-scale cooking.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy Kitchen environment
