Unique Beginnings Childcare and Forest School is a homely, exciting and forward-thinking preschool located in the beautiful countryside village of Walton-On-The-Hill for children between 1-5. We opened in September and since then our little preschool has really grown. We are hoping to find an inspiring, experienced and positive Early Years Educator to join our lovely team.

Our setting is based on heuristic (real object) play, re-using and repairing items to create a wonderfully curious and sustainable environment for children to enjoy, learn and develop in. We have a child-led routine with some simple structure. We believe children should be active participants in their own learning, so a child-led approach to planning is taken by practitioners and activities are often spontaneous and child initiated. Practitioners have a strong focus on helping children develop into confident, independent individuals who are ready for their next stage of life and learning.

Our style of teaching and learning blends ideas from the “Curiosity” style approach, where children are given the opportunity to develop in a stimulating environment, rich with learning opportunities. They have a variety of exciting, natural and real resources to explore in their play and promote curious learners. We are particularly passionate about children enjoying the outdoors and have an inviting, exciting garden area, where children can truly thrive, and develop socially, emotionally and physically.

- Love/appreciate the outdoors and find wonder in exploring the world around you whilst supporting children with their curiosity to learn.
- **Core Skills & Qualification requirements**:_
- Level 2/3 Childcare Diploma or equivalent qualification (required)
- Experience within a Nursery or with children (Desirable)
- Must be able to demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the EYFS
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Be responsible and punctual
- **What you can expect**:_
- Up to £20,000 per year (for full-time) (dependent on qualifications)
- 10% performance & attendance bonus scheme (paid termly)

Hours:
Monday & Friday 8am - 5pm
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.50am to 3.10pm
Term time only (38 weeks)
- 14 weeks holiday (in line with Surrey County Council school holidays)
- Access to dedicated training and development
- Supportive working environment in a welcoming team

Full-time hours: 37 hours per week
