**Join us on the Journey...** National Express are looking to recruit an experienced **Tableau Developer**, based at our Head Office in Birmingham.

**What you'll do**:

- Designing, developing and maintaining complex Tableau reports and insights for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
- Creating new reports from scratch using data from multiple sources.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining databases used by Tableau to store data.
- Determining the best implementation that will meet the request from stakeholders.
- Working with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the business.
- Working through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
- Ensuring consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
- Resolving support tickets related to Tableau reports.
- Developing and implementing user training programs to ensure that users are able to use Tableau effectively.
- Providing support to other team members and the end users who are using Tableau.
- Diagnosing problems with existing dashboards or reports to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Updating Tableau with new features and bug fixes as necessary.
- Analysing data to identify trends and patterns and using that information to create reports and presentations.
- Performing routine maintenance on Tableau servers and workstations to ensure they are running smoothly.

**What you'll need**:

- Experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards, analytics.
- Ability to query and display large data sets while maximising the performance of workbooks.
- Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structures and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
- Certified to at least a Tableau Data Analyst level.
- Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
- Advanced Tableau development skills required.
- Advanced Tableau Cloud and Online knowledge required.
- High-level competency in MS Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
- Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions in Tableau (LODs, REGEX, Table Calculations, etc.)
- A demonstrable understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modelling, and normalisation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
