I am looking for an Insurance Claims Handler to work with my client in a hybrid role between home and their office in Slough.

**The Role**

You will be managing claims from the start through to settlement, making decisions on the extent and validity of a claim, and assisting in checking for any potential fraudulent activity relating to car rental. You'll coordinate services that may be required by policyholders following an accident or incident.

**Main Duties**

The post holder will report to the Insurance Claims Manager. The role will entail:

- Processing claims quickly and correctly, ensuring that all claims funds are recouped where applicable
- Capturing third parties & providing excellent customer service to get them back on the road
- Monitoring insurance cases from first notice to payment & ensuring all paperwork is completed to ensure a fair settlement is reached
- Liaising with head office and branches to advise them of any issues that arise
- Assisting insurers to investigate the veracity of claims & liaising with brokers and underwriters
- Any other duties required, commensurate with the post

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Have strong analytical and numerical skills and be confident manipulating and analysing data
- Be able to work well as part of a team and prioritise a busy workload.
- Be highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and an interest in insurance.
- Be positive & have a proactive approach / confident personality.
- Be reliable & able to work to tight deadlines.
- Be computer literate (European Computer Driving Licence /Microsoft user level) especially Excel spreadsheets.
- Have a smart, professional appearance.
- Previous experience in motor insurance claims or the car rental sector would be desirable, however this is not essential.
- A clean driving licence held for at least 2 years would be an advantage but is not essential for this role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
