Medicines Counter Assistant

We are looking for a friendly individual to work within our Pharmacy team. You will be a warm and friendly face for many of our patients who visit our pharmacy on a weekly basis to either collect medicine or advising them on OTC medicines. Full support, training and development will be provided via NVQ II and/or NVQ III.

A successful applicant must be energetic, enthusiastic with an upbeat positive personality. Must be willing to work flexible hours throughout the week to fit in with the existing team (between 8.45am to 7.00pm on Monday to Friday & up until 1.00pm on Saturday).

**Key roles**:
You will be expected to always deliver a friendly service, smiling, greeting and making eye contact with every customer you come into contact with
- Working on tills accurately and efficiently, to provide a positive customer experience.
- Carry out stock replenishment, ensuring all areas of the store remain tidy.
- Working as an active member of the team, supporting colleagues in all tasks.
- Meeting high standards of display and visual merchandising to ensure the store is well presented.
- Demonstrate good product knowledge to customers and approaching customers that may require assistance.
- Flexibility towards working hours.
- Effective communication skills and ability to participate as a key team member.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Deliver a fast and friendly service to every customer consistently.
- Achieve consistently high standards to meet customers’ expectation.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and services.
- Always be there, on time and properly presented.
- Passionate to learn and develop throughout their journey.

**The successful applicant must be able to**:

- Deliver exceptional customer and patient care, helping customers to make appropriate choices regarding healthcare products and other services we offer, and keep up to date with healthcare knowledge.
- Safely receive and handle prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist as and when needed.
- Proactively use your expertise to make recommendations suited to the customer and patient’s needs.
- Demonstrate high presentation standards at all times in all areas of the business as well as self-presentation.
- Assist in all allowed areas of the business to ensure tasks are competed and be a team player.
- An enthusiastic, energetic ,motivated and disciplined character is necessary.
- Confidence in helping patients and giving out advice.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve set targets.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: £6.83-£9.50 per hour
