Development Director

A fantasticopportunity for a Development Director to join a successful and growing group to head up the development and construction team with an attractive salary and potential of equity participation.
Quest Property is a commercial property development and investment company and the project delivery arm of The Brook Group, which is an organisation developing and operating Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs and Bars, with recent expansion into the Holiday Parkand Lodge park sector. Most of the work is in the north of England, alongside a major leisure development proposed in South Wales.
**Job Summary**
The role carries the overall responsibility for the development, management and delivery of all the Quest Property projects with a focus on the delivery of all targets within the constraints of time, cost and quality.
**Principle Accountabilities**
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Health and Safety policy to ensure safe working across all developments.
- Overall responsibility for the management of the Develop and Construction team.
- Meet, work closely alongside, and establish good rapport with all key contractors through regular face to face meetings.
- Delivery of all targets and objectives with specified timescales and budgets.
- Maximising the profit potential of the company through robust management and monitored performance of the construction teams.
- Manage the development of sites in accordance with agreed specifications and programme.
- Ensure that all costs are properly controlled.
- Mentor, manage and motivate the construction team.
**Experience**
- Management/supervision skills in a developer setting (at least 5 years in a management role). Experience in the Holiday Park sector or wider leisure sector would be a significant benefit, but not a requirement.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience/understanding of the needs of development projects and their project Management
- Used to a business environment where accountability and personal responsibility is required and expected
- Familiarity with construction
- Detailed understanding/controls of safety, health and environmental issues.
Based at the Head Office in Barnsley with travel to sites when required the role offersa competitive salary plus benefits with the potential for equity participation.
