**The role**:
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Business Support Officer to join the Business Support Team supporting Health & Adult Services (HAS) Discharge Hub. The office base for this role is flexible and can either be Ryedale House, Old Malton Road, Malton, or Castle House, Elders Street, Scarborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team providing high quality, professional support in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met. The team provide a 7-day service so you will be required to work some weekend days on a rota basis. In return you will receive an allowance of £30 per weekend day worked, plus time off in lieu during the week.

**What you will bring**:
We are looking for a self-motivated administrator with excellent customer care skills who is confident working with sensitive and highly confidential information, both in written and verbal format. The role involves interaction with health/social care professionals so excellent communication skills are essential. This is a varied and rewarding role which requires working closely with other team members to ensure discharges are completed in a timely manner.

Your core tasks will include processing referrals from Trusted Assessor Forms (TAFs), you will attend daily discharge meetings and record information on a spreadsheet/tracker which will be used to create reports submitted to central Government so attention to detail and an eye for accuracy are essential requirements. You will undertake a range of administrative duties and tasks that include support with hospital discharges, support for MDT meetings and helping to develop an understanding of, and confidence in, the use of Liquid Logic Adults (LLA) database, helping to ensure that the information on LLA is current and accurate. You will also assist with referrals and reviews, chasing documentation, liaising with hospitals/care homes and a range of other administrative duties.

Excellent ICT skills are essential, and experience of MS Office is preferred. Applicants must understand the need for confidentiality of personal information and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of GDPR, Equalities and the Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
