Tickenham Garage is an award-winning car and light commercial vehicle service and sales centre between Nailsea and Clevedon. We are RAC approved and a Which? Trusted Trader business. We are a small company which is family owned and has been running since 1980’s. We operate a service and sales centre, both run from the same site, just outside of Bristol.

We are looking for a part time **Office Administrator / Receptionist / Service Advisor**. This position is front of house and is primarily based around ensuring that all our customers are looked after and that our systems are kept up to date. We currently have someone else in this role who has been with us for a long time, but has reduced down to 2 days per week.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**

Answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls to customers

Assisting customers with bookings, sales, enquiries, and payments. Scheduling bookings for our mechanics and sales appointments for our Sales Manager

Assisting customers face to face when waiting in the reception area, looking for assistance or paying for their services

Updating customers on a regular basis as to the progress of their vehicle.

Ensuring that customers are offered all services that are relevant to their enquiry and assisting them with making the best choice for their needs. We expect every customer to be treated fairly and that we do the best

Ensuring that all customers continue to love us, rate us 5 stars and recommend us to their friends.

Preparing quotes for customers based on their requirements.

Pointing customers in the correct direction for assistance with their query if you are unable to assist them

Taking payments from customers and completing end of day reconciliations

Working with suppliers to order parts, manage expectations for the workshop on part delivery and managing all returns back to suppliers

Entering purchase invoices for all parts and supplies the business uses / orders

Reconciling accounts at the end of each month (experience is not required, we will provide full training on this and it will not be expected during the first few months of working with us)

Ordering of office supplies as and when required

General cleaning duties of the customer waiting area on a regular basis

General office & administrator duties, including some diary management for the Directors.

The reception area can be busy, it can also be a tranquil place on some days. Please be aware that there are times where you will be alone and others when the rest of the team will be around you. Self motivation is key

We also have an office dog, extremely friendly and she loves a cuddle.

Hours of work each day are 8.30am to 5.30 pm with a break per day which can be taken as 2 x 15 minute breaks and 30 mins for lunch, or as the business allows.

A driving licence is essential to this position in case you need to drop a customer home (very rare) or move a vehicle outside of our workshop.

We are currently recruiting for **Wednesday - Friday inclusive for this position**. There may be times where we would like you to be flexible with this in the case of holiday cover, this can be discussed in more detail at the interview.

There may be an opportunity for this role to move to full time in the near future, this can be discussed in more detail should this be something of interest.
