**THE ROLE**

We are actively looking for a US Team Leader to join the Boohoo Group Customs team, who will be responsible for managing the day to day operational processes carried out by the US Import Analysts for Boohoo. The US Team Leader will need strong management skills and operational experience with maintaining US Customs compliance.

Compliance of customs regulations is a top priority for the business and you will be working directly with our customs team in the US and UK in this exciting new role as well as cross functionally within the organisation, including Inbound, supply chain, sourcing and finance.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leading a team of US Import and Classification Analysts assisting with and managing the day to day operational workflows as well as prioritising and delegating on a daily basis.
- Managing the data entry process within the Shipping Application ensuring accuracy of Supplier invoice data and supporting documentation for issuing clearance instructions to the US Customs Broker within the required deadlines.
- Ensuring data checks and validation is carried out to a high standard to enable the correct US Customs Duty to be accounted for and paid to US CBP on importation to the US.
- Managing the US Classification and Product Specific Documentation capture within the TariffTel system.
- Supporting and developing the team members as required.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
- Daily reporting/dashboards to establish priorities, delegation of workload and capabilities for that day.
- Monitoring the US Inbound Shipments for customs clearance readiness, identifying and resolving exceptions prior to US arrival.
- Working closely with the US Import Analysts to ensure accuracy of commercial import documentation received from Suppliers against the Purchase Order contract for unit and carton quantity, Country of Origin, Classification, Incoterms, Currency and Cost Price to ensure the correct values are declared to US Customs.
- Supporting the capture and validation of Supplier and Shipping documentation in line with US Import requirements from all Origins including UK, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Turkey and Europe and timely issuance of clearance instructions to the US Customs Broker.
- Working with the Import Classification Analysts ensuring US Commodity Codes are available and Product Specific documents are present and accurate where necessary in line with US Customs expectations, ensuring there are no gaps in data and following up with Suppliers as required.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies where the data is inconsistent by raising internally with the B&M Teams and/or obtaining revised documents from Suppliers as required.
- Escalation of missing data, documentation and unresolved discrepancies.
- Ensuring the daily electronic sorting and filing of US Import Documentation per entry into the shared document repository for recordkeeping and audit purposes.
- Maintaining an issues/exceptions log for Reporting purposes.
- Weekly/Monthly KPI reporting.
- Managing, training and developing team members.
- Working closely with the US Imports Lead to keep up to date with US Import requirements and implementing necessary changes affecting Import Documentation and Customs Instructions.
- Developing and managing US import related processes/procedures including maintaining standard operating procedures.
