**Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.
**The Opportunity**:
The post provides an opportunity for a post-doctoral researcher to take responsibility for a core research resource (tick colony) and gain experience in a breadth of scientific research areas spanning vector biology, parasitology and immunology.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:
- Experience of working with arthropod vectors (ideally tsetse flies and/or managing breeding colonies)
- Research experience in veterinary parasitology and/or immunology
- Experience of working with large animals (cattle)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team Assuming responsibility for a core research resource including adopting a rigorous approach to record keeping and scientific work
