We are looking for a highly-motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Nixon Lab in the Centre for Cardiovascular Science. In particular we are seeking applicants with a background in murine models of cardiometabolic dysregulation (obesity, diabetes, hypertension) and molecular biology/endocrinology.

**The Opportunity**:
You will join a team of researchers developing an understanding of how stress hormones (glucocorticoids) impact adipose tissue biology, and how this leads to increased cardiovascular disease risk.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Experience in molecular biology (RNA extraction, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA)
- Experience with _in vivo _murine models
- Ability to independently troubleshoot
- Excellent communication
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate records

Clinical Sciences employs around 1000 members of academic and support staff and has over 550 Honorary members who contribute significantly to teaching and research.
