Theatre Clinical Housekeeper

To liaise with maintenance/facilities staff to ensure that equipment is in working Handle individual patient requests as they Organise and update notice boards as Maintain a high standard of personal behaviour and ensure effective communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team, patients carers and Keep accurate and consistent records in line with area of responsibility Work with the domestic staff on a day to day to develop sustainable systems and processes for a safe and clean clinical environment Attend and participate in team meetings and team briefs and wider organisational communication processes Knowledge, training and experience: Take responsibility for personal updating and development, including statutory and mandatory training Engage in the Trusts annual appraisal system and objective setting Work to achieve personal and team objectives identifying personal develop needs Take responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal Work with management on any new training Demonstrate skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar Develop successful relationships within the ward/department team and wider organisation Engage in personal feedback and feedback received from patients and relatives and visitors to the ward/department Understanding of a range of routine work procedures possibly outside immediate work area, which would require job training and a period of induction.
**Health, Safety and Security Infection Control**: Ensure Infection Control Polices in relation to universal / standard precautions are applied at all Promote the prevention of cross infection to and from all patients, visitors staff and the Ensure that the cleaning standards meet agreed levels, and that any shortfalls are dealt with Oversee and monitor the need for cleaning of equipment liaising with the Infection Control Team and Domestic Team and clinical team including the nurse in charge. Following patient discharge, ensure bed areas/clinic rooms are cleaned appropriately and equipped in preparation for the next Ensuring use of bed space checklist or other assurance techniques to evidence cleaning record.
