About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Theatre Operations Leader to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of practitioners to deliver high standards of care in our operating departments.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership and experience of working in an acute hospital setting. You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Team Leaders and Theatre Manager in the management of our operating departments, ensuring that we provide excellent patient care and meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead and manage a team of practitioners to deliver high standards of care in our operating departments
  • To support the Senior Team Leaders and Theatre Manager in the management of our operating departments
  • To ensure that all staff working within the operating departments are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care
  • To identify areas for improvement and implement changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operating departments
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional qualification as a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • Relevant clinical experience in the operating department
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice
