**Executive Assistant**

**Location**:Grimsby

**Salary**:£29,465 per annum

**Job Type**: 12-month contract

**You will join LHP on a 12-month contract and in return, you will receive an excellent salary of £29,465, plus some great benefits.**

**The Role**

As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a high level, comprehensive, expert and confidential secretarial and support service to the Executive Leadership Team to allow them to carry out their duties effectively. You will also assist in the delivery of Governance Support to the Board and its Committees.

**What will I be asked to do as an Executive Assistant?**
- Arranging and facilitating meetings, events and visits as required which will include taking minutes and proactively ensuring actions are followed up as necessary
- Provide governance support to Board and Committees
- Administrative support to the Governance Manager and Executive Leadership Team

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Diary management which will include arranging meetings, events and visits as required, either virtually or face-to-face, in order to ensure their smooth operational delivery
- Prepare a wide range of documents including reports, correspondences, spreadsheets and presentation material to support the Executive Leadership Team
- Prepare for meetings (at all levels), including agenda preparation and circulation, minute taking and hospitality in order to ensure that they are organised efficiently
- Be pro-active and follow up matters on behalf of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate action has been taken in accordance with timescales set
- Act as high-level liaison with external stakeholders, such as elected council members, members of parliament, and other significant bodies providing timely outcomes that reflect the values of the organisation
- Ensure that visitors and business contacts are received courteously and with appropriate hospitality
- Answer written queries and respond to routine correspondence, composing replies as necessary or referring to the appropriate officer in order to alleviate unnecessary correspondence being directed to the Executive Leadership Team
- Undertake projects, researching, obtaining and collating information and presenting findings as required, e.g. reports, presentations or management papers
- Assist in the development and maintenance of administrative systems and procedures in order to provide an effective general administrative service
- Provide support and assistance to the Governance Manager including cover for holidays and sickness
- Provide other secretarial or support services as reasonably requested by the Governance Manager and Executive Leadership Team

**What experience will I need as an Executive Assistant?**
- Previous experience of providing PA/secretarial support to a post at very senior level in a medium/large organisation
- Experience of working with a diverse range of contacts, from members of the public to political and/or business leaders
- Experience of carrying out work of a confidential nature
- Experience of drafting letters and reports
- Experience of organising, minute taking and following up of meetings or events
- Experience and knowledge of office procedures, practices, routines and systems
