Hours: 18:00 to 01:00, 7 days per week (including Bank Holidays).

Working on a 2-week rolling rota. Week 1 (30 hours) Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat and Sunday. Week 2 (14 hours) Wed and Thurs.

**Do you love the feeling you get when you help someone who needs it? If so, then this could be the role for you.**

The Mid Essex Sanctuary provides support to those who are at risk of experiencing a mental health crisis. The support worker is part of an experienced team who provides emotional support to people through active listening, de-escalation and distraction techniques, and signposting to other services who may be able to help.

We are looking for someone who has the knowledge of how to support adults in crisis, who is respectful and honest and can show empathy to others. Experience of working within Mental Health Services is an advantage. 

The support worker will assess, monitor and support individuals, in person and over the phone on a one to one basis, and in partnership with a variety of organisations within the locality.

The Sanctuary operates from a location in Braintree offering a supportive, non-judgemental and empowering service that operates from 10am to 1am, 7 days per week, including bank holidays.

**The shifts available are 18:00 - 01:00. You would be working on a 2-week rolling rota, (7 shifts over 14 days - e.g. 2 on/2 off/3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off), which would include working alternate weekends.**

**The pro rata salary for the role is £16,380 per annum **which includes an unsocial hours payment of time and a half for the hour worked 12 midnight to 1am.
