We are looking for a Product Admin Assistant to join the expanding Product Marketing Team, based in Wokingham, Reading (3 days a week and 2 working from home).

As our Product Admin Assistant, you will support the team in bringing new products to the UK and European market, reviewing the current market for new opportunities, own the product set up and artwork approval process, with great exposure to other departments.

This is a fast-paced department with multiple projects running at the same time. You will need to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines, communicate well and have excellent attention to detail as there is a considerable amount of administration.

**Product Development**:

- Support New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to launch, helping to deliver innovative products that increase our market share and profitability.
- Using the internal IT systems, set-up new products accurately and timely.
- Liaising with and requesting information from other departments and using your initiative to locate key data from existing products and sources.
- Liaise with external design agencies and suppliers to brief them of new products, develop new artworks, obtain approval from internal stakeholders and approving the final design and text.
- Create presentation material to be used at customer meetings.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of new products.
- Supply other departments with new product set up information and support them with the implementation.

**Product Research**:

- Support the Product Team by researching the current DIY market to identify opportunities for new products, presenting this information concisely and offering suggestions, based on the research.
- Support the Product Team in collating data to be presented to the wider business for product development approval.
- Develop expert knowledge of the market, categories and products.
- Closely monitor competitor ranges, strategy, pricing, strengths and weaknesses.

**Product Portfolio**:

- Support the product life cycle management process, including ongoing SKU rationalisation.
- Work with the data analyst to track category dynamics and product performance.
- Liaise with other departments to identify stock and component levels, collating the information as required.

**Product Management**:

- Liaise with the Customer Service team on product quality issues and support product managers to make improvements with R&D.
- Help create and maintain product labels ensuring regulatory and legal compliance where required.
- React to quality related initiatives and put appropriate plans into action.
- On behalf of the Product Team; manage the process to moving product manufacturing between production locations, informing stakeholders of progress, managing the system set up, artwork transfer between suppliers and artwork approval.
- Follow the internal processes for raising and receipting PO’s, monitoring expenditure and implementing cost saving measures.

**Training and Shows**
- Assist with product training internally and externally and work with the Training Manager on content and demonstrations as required.
- Support non customer specific trade shows i.e. Painting and Decorating Shows as required.
- Create training material for the field / sales teams.

**The qualifications and experience we are ideally looking for....**
- Product marketing / project admin experience,
- Ability to manage, plan and prioritise multiple projects with demanding deadlines,
- Experience of working in the DIY Sector would be an advantage
- Must hold a UK driving licence for some travel with the role
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft etc
- Initiate and take insights from market analysis/research.
