We are now hiring for a Business Support Assistant to join the Business Support Unit based at Police Headquarters in Huntingdon.

**What does the Business Support Assistant role involve?**

You will be working within a team of 8 of people, which includes 3 business support assistants, 2 reception staff, a post room assistant and 2 internal couriers. The team support the Force and local policing by providing professional high quality administrative support across a varied range of tasks. Every day is different whatever your role in policing, so here’s an overview of your day-to-day responsibilities:

- Sourcing and purchasing of goods and services and the associated finance tasks, including raising purchase orders and dealing with petty cash.
- Travel and hotel bookings
- Management of Officer personal issue equipment.
- Maintaining accurate and systematic records.
- Effectively managing and respond to all face to face, telephone, written and electronic communications in relation to aspects of operational support (e.g. equipment, post and facilities)
- Health and Safety Administration
- Providing cover for reception and the post room on an occasional basis.

This role requires the role holder to by fully office based, with no agile working.

- Ability to work as part of a team
