Financial crime often funds much darker criminal activities. As we transform our financial crime centre of excellence, we’ll utilise the SME knowledge of our analysts to deter, deter and disrupt financial crime activities. We’re now seeking an eagle-eyed expert to join us.
That’s where you come in. You’ll report into the head of CCB CDD and will support the Risk Triage SME’s in providing Financial Crime and guidance to both CCB Relationship Teams to support the assessment of Financial Crime risks associated with Santander UK Corporate and Commercial banking customers during on-boarding as well as referrals from other Financial Crime Centre of Excellence (FC CoE) capabilities into CCB CDD. You’ll be part of an essential financial crime centre of excellence team.
**The difference you will make.**:
- Managing the Risk Triage SME’s, understanding the teams capacity and capability to ensure that all CCB cases, FC CoE referrals and system driven CRA alerts are accurately prioritised, assigned and assessed.
- Supporting the Risk Triage team with advice and guidance to both the support of Corporate and Commercial banking customers and understand core Financial Crime systems to ensure the correct data points are driving the appropriate risk score.
- Building effective working relationships within the CDD capability and wider business area to effectively investigate cases, whilst also identifying areas of improvement.
- Producing prompt and accurate MI reports regularly on events for senior management to feed into key governance meetings where appropriate.
- Working to identify change needs and quality improvement to processes in driving better outputs within the Risk Triage team.
**What you will bring.**
We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers _.- You’ll have previous people management experience, experience working with the financial service industry and knowledge of Corporate and Commercial banking products and services.
- You’ll have prior CDD/EDD experience along with good analytical and financial interpretation skills with the ability to convert and consolidate complex data into simple messages and reports.
**It would also be nice for you to have.**:
- Working knowledge of the global legislative and regulatory framework for Financial Crime such as Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery & Corruption.
- Experience of working in the Financial Services industry with knowledge of Corporate and Commercial banking products and services.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

**What else you need to know.**
Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
This role is currently home based until corona virus restrictions are lifted as we offer flexible working. Once restrictions have been lifted, there maybe a requirement to go into your local office as directed by your manager.
This is a permanent role and can be based in our Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Bradford, London or Sheffield offices.
