**Position Overview**:
The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar in a cocktail bar and restaurant setting. This role involves managing the bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Bar Supervisor works closely with the Bar Manager to uphold the bar's standards and contribute to a memorable guest experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Staff Management**:

- Supervise, train, and motivate bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks.
- Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
- **Customer Service**:

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all guests.
- **Operations Management**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and organized.
- Maintain and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- **Inventory and Stock Management**:

- Manage bar inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
- Conduct regular stock takes and manage waste control.
- Monitor and control beverage costs.
- **Financial Management**:

- Assist in managing the bar's budget and financial performance.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Prepare daily financial reports and reconcile discrepancies.
- **Menu Development**:

- Collaborate with the Bar Manager to develop and update the cocktail menu.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative drinks.
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the menu and can recommend drinks.
- **Compliance and Regulations**:

- Ensure compliance with all licensing laws, health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain records as required by local health departments and licensing authorities.
- **Event Coordination**:

- Assist in planning and executing bar-related events and promotions.
- Coordinate with other departments for special events and private functions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory position.
- Experience in a high-volume cocktail bar or restaurant setting preferred.
- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or management-related qualifications are a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in bar operations and mixology.
- Good understanding of inventory and financial management.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Creative and passionate about the bar industry.
- Reliable and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Working Conditions**:

- Fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Requires standing for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week
